Firefox 3.0 Beta

I had a chance to look over some features and bug fixes in Firefox 3.0. It seems like Firefox is addressing issues relating to user experience more than clogging it with useless “features” that no one would ever use.

You can download Firefox 3 Beta from the Mozilla’s Developer site.

Spaces, improved add-on menus, enhanced security and improved notifications are only some items on the official change list. One main complaint, especially from Mac users, are memory leaks. Constant leaks in Firefox 2.x can put a PC or a Mac into an unusable state… which would require a reboot.

Unfortunately for me, Firefox 3 Beta becomes unstable and unusable about a minutes after launch.

Take a look at the ArsTechnica highlights of some new features.
